The Hierarchical Ranks​ 1. The Grand Master (The Veiled One)​ The supreme leader of the order, known only by title, their true name erased from history upon ascension. Rumored to possess supernatural longevity and wield knowledge of ancient, forbidden magic. Decides the fate of the order, directing their battles from the Fortress of Dark Falls. Said to wear a helmet that never reveals their face, with a crown of blackened steel.	​
2. The Black Council (The Five Shadows)​ The five most powerful knights, each mastering a distinct combat style, strategy, or forbidden art. They act as generals and advisors, overseeing different regions or factions within the order. The Blade Saint (Master of Swordsmanship) The Umbral Magister (Keeper of Dark Magic) The Phantom Warden (Master of Stealth & Assassination) The Iron Revenant (Unstoppable Juggernaut) The Hollow Seer (Prophet and Strategist)	​
3. The Shadowguard (The Elite Knights)​ The most experienced and battle-hardened warriors, trained to fight the Fellborn (demonic entities). Hand-selected by the Black Council, they wield cursed relics, enchanted blades, and forbidden techniques. Often act as lone operatives, infiltrating enemy strongholds and executing high-value targets. Their armor is infused with dark sigils, granting them resistance to corruption.	​
4. The Watchers (Scouts & Spymasters)​ Silent observers, traveling the realm under false identities to gather intelligence. Skilled in espionage, sabotage, and diplomacy. Often blend in among thieves, nobles, or even clergy to manipulate events from the shadows. Report directly to the Black Council, using encrypted messages and secret rendezvous points.	​
5. The Abyssal Initiates (Recruits & Acolytes)​ Newcomers who have survived the brutal initiation trials but are yet to be fully knighted. Many are former warriors, criminals seeking redemption, or abandoned children raised in the order. Must endure the Rite of the Abyss, where they face visions of their darkest fears before receiving their armor. Those who fail either perish or are banished, lost to the darkness.	​
6. The Forsaken (Exiled Knights)​ Those who have betrayed the order or succumbed to the corruption of dark magic. Considered the most dangerous enemies, as they still carry the order’s training and secrets. Hunted relentlessly by the Shadowguard to prevent their knowledge from falling into enemy hands.	​
